Mobile app FAQ

How do I sign in to the app?
Use the same credentials you use for Basis EHR on the web. The app is only for users whose organization uses Basis EHR — there is no public sign-up. If you don't have an account, ask your administrator.
I'm not receiving calls or notifications.

Check that:

  • Notifications are allowed for Basis EHR in your phone's settings.
  • Microphone access is allowed, so calls can connect.
  • On Android, battery optimization isn't restricting the app.
  • Your administrator has enabled calling for your account and routed calls to your phone.

Signing out and back in re-registers your device for notifications.

Why does the app ask for these permissions?
  • Microphone — to carry your voice on calls. It is used only during a call.
  • Notifications — to alert you to incoming calls and messages.
  • Nearby devices / Bluetooth (Android) — to route call audio to a headset or car.
  • Phone call service & full-screen alerts (Android) — to keep a call running and show the incoming-call screen while your phone is locked.

The app does not access your contacts or location. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Can I call 911 from the app?
No. Basis EHR is not a replacement for your phone's dialer and cannot place emergency calls. Always use your device's built-in phone app to contact emergency services.
How do I delete my account?
Follow the steps on the account deletion page. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
